DOT Projects
I-520 Interchange Improvement
I-520 Interchange. Augusta, GA. Project Completed in 2010.
Engineering scope of this DOT project included high mast lighting at two of the major interchanges along the I-520 corridor. In addition, sidewalk passing under the overpass included wall pack lighting fixtures to illuminate the walkways. Among tasks performed included providing photometric lighting calculations, researching FAA interferences, and performing detail design of the lighting system. Close coordination with Georgia Power was required to bring electrical service to the high mast lighting network.
Chamblee-Dunwoody Rd Streetscape.
Chamblee-Dunwoody Road Streetscape. Dekalb County, GA. Project Completed 2011.
The project engineering scope includes pedestrian lighting along both sides of Chamblee-Dunwoody Road from Buford Highway to Cumberland Drive. This included photometric calculations in accordance with the GDOT requirements based on the IESNA G-103. The Post top mounted luminaire was used in photometric calculations. The design included underground distribution, circuit wiring, and service panel boards to feed light poles from GA power pole mounted service equipment.
